Mountmaking Forum ›half-oval brass rod

jim 5/30/08

My supplier of brass, Copper and Brass Sales Inc., has informed me that they no longer carry half-round, or half-oval brass rod.  They weren't able to refer me to other suppliers as they don't know of any.  Anybody out there have a good source for the type of material?

Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim, You might try Metalmen Sales - http://www.metalmensales.com - Jeff has always been a great help in finding sizes for me. I'm not sure whether they have 1/2 round. Good luck.

We get our half-oval from Benchmark and our half-round from McMaster-Carr.

You should try McMaster Carr if you haven't already.

Re: [mountmaking-forum] Re: half-oval brass rod I sometimes get half oval from Jamestown Distibutors, a marine supplier. It's a fun catalog. Here's the link: http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/search.do?freeText=half%20oval%20brass&page=GRID&history=
