Hi Adrienne, I was just looking over the mounts that you made for our Sacred Gifts show and I noticed that one of the blocks is made from Sintra. What do you use to glue it together with? You can reply to the Mountmakers forum. Other mountmakers would probably be interested.

adrienne 11/19/08 The Preparations Department here made the blocks. I checked with them and they use 3M Scotch Weld Urethane Adhesive DP605NS which they get from RS Hughes company. They said to be sure and sand the surface if you are gluing the smooth surface instead of a cut edge.

Another glue alternative for Sintra is called Weld-on #2007 from the IPS
corporation. They make a glue for anything and the 2007 formula is
specifically for rigid vinyl (i.e. Sintra). It uses a capillary effect that
actually fuses the sintra together on a molecular level.

Has anyone used RenShape polyurethane for blocks or decks? Obo Modulan is a similar product from Germany.
