Job Description
The Exhibits Technician plays a key role in installing, fabricating, and maintaining the Museum’s long-term and temporary exhibits, advancing its mission to educate people about California’s rich history, its diversity, and its unique influence on the world of ideas, innovation, art, and culture. Working as a part of the exhibits team, the Exhibits Technician facilitates the construction of exhibit components and provides support for the installation and deinstallation of Museum objects and displays.
Position
Full-time non-exempt, reports to Exhibitions Director. Typical work hours Mon.-Fri. between 8:00 am- 4:30 pm. with occasional evening and/or weekend hours as needed. This is an on-site position. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, dental and vision insurance, employer-subsidized health plan, and 401(k) savings plan with match. Starting salary $50,000.
