I view mountmaking as an excercise in problem solving. I feel sucessful mounts use an artistic sense combined with knowledge of materials, engineering, and conservation to address issues of balance, support, and aesthetics. 28 years of working in museum and collections settings is the basis for the workshops I teach to help people understand the logic and skills of this fascinating profession.
