We've tested a lot of primers at the Field, and the only grays that passed are: • Krylon Industrial Tough Coat A00341007 Light Gray • Acryli-Quik in Gray (which you're already using) • Rust-oleum High Performance Enamel Primer Spray Paint, V2182838, Flat Gray We haven't had any luck with white primers, they all fail.

Apoxie Sculpt in the "Natural" color has passed our Oddy tests at The Field Museum. In the past, I've embedded metal, plexi, or threaded inserts into the Apoxie, or bolted through it.

Myself and the other Shop Supervisor in the Mount Shop have access to KEmu, and retrieve info for the other mountmakers if needed. I find it unusual that they won't give you read-only access. Maybe they aren't giving you access because they would need to pay for an additional license/account/sign-in? Otherwise, I don't understand the gatekeeping. Can the myriad of people that you need to constantly consult to obtain information help convince the institution that you need access?

Hi Katie, Thanks for the response. Yes, the wigs will be touching the area around the top of the garments. I can add a barrier, although it may be tricky to conceal it. At the moment, I'm waiting on the Oddy test results for three wigs- two synthetic, and one human hair. They will be shown on and off for about 2-3 years, on open display. Unfortunately, wig companies don't want to disclose what the synthetic ones are made of. Thanks, Ann
